PYCC Scholarship Fund
The Story of the PYCC Scholarship Fund
For nearly two decades, the PYCC Scholarship Fund has been a life-changing opportunity for our youth, empowering them to pursue their dreams through education and career training. This scholarship began in 2005 as the Campbell Family Scholarship Fund, a generous initiative created by Paul and Cindy Campbell to support PYCC members beyond high school. Their unwavering belief in the potential of young people helped open doors for those seeking higher education, vocational training, and meaningful career paths.
In 2015, additional funding allowed the scholarship to expand, reaching even more young people and continuing the Campbell family’s legacy of generosity. Year after year, this scholarship provided critical financial support to our dedicated PYCC members—high school seniors, GED recipients, and first-year college students—who worked hard to earn this opportunity through a rigorous application and interview process. Whether their dreams led them to university, trade schools, or specialized training programs, this scholarship helped turn aspirations into reality.
It is with immense gratitude that we acknowledge the Campbell family and all those who made this scholarship possible. Their kindness and dedication to the youth of our community have made a lasting impact, shaping futures and inspiring success. Though this scholarship will no longer be available, its legacy lives on in the lives of those it has helped and the countless ways they will continue to contribute to their communities.
To Paul and Cindy Campbell, and to everyone who supported this initiative over the years—mahalo nui loa for your generosity, your belief in our youth, and your commitment to creating opportunities that extend far beyond the shores of Paia. Your legacy will always be a part of PYCC.
